A big (free!) update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons is coming to the Nintendo Switch life simulation game on Friday, Nov. 5. Alongside that update is a substantial paid add-on called Happy Home Paradise, which will introduce all-new activities and items to New Horizons.
While Nintendo has already announced the date for Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ final major update and the Happy Home Paradise DLC, you may be able to get your hands on it (technically) earlier than its official release date.
That’s because Nintendo often releases game updates (in North America, anyway) on the eve of their official release dates. Previous updates for Animal Crossing: New Horizons have typically dropped around or shortly after 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on the evening before their official release date. If Nintendo sticks with that release schedule cadence, you should expect to be able to download the Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 update on Thursday, Nov. 4 between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. EDT.
Keep your eye on Nintendo of America’s support website for the latest details on Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ next major update, as well as the company’s Twitter account (and its dedicated Animal Crossing account, which is adorably “run” by Isabelle) for the latest.
