During Friday’s Nintendo Treehouse broadcast, Nintendo is predicted to disclose a brand new game from Shantae and the Seven Sirens developer WayForward. The presentation may also showcase gameplay from Paper Mario: The Origami King, which might be released on July 17 on Nintendo Switch.
“Check out gameplay of the upcoming game #PaperMario: The Origami King tomorrow 7/10 at 10am PT on #NintendoTreehouseLive | July 2020,” the corporate tweeted from the Nintendo of America account on Thursday. “Plus, we’ll feature a first reveal and gameplay title in a franchise new to developer WayForward.”
The subsequent game within the Paper Mario franchise was introduced on May 14.
Please observe that WayForward’s new title featured in #NintendoTreehouseLive is predicated on a third-party property.

An hour later, amid hypothesis that WayForward could also be engaged on a Wario or Metroid game, Nintendo tweeted a clarifying assertion: The game from WayForward isn’t a Nintendo franchise — it’s “based on a third-party property.” Beyond this assertion, Nintendo’s given no indication of what the game may very well be.
The Nintendo Treehouse presentation will start at 1 p.m. EST on YouTube.
