«All Asians look the same» — Motto of the new Assassin’s Creed Shadows trailer

The new game trailer showed that Ubisoft clearly does not care about the cultural aspects of the project:

• Some buildings of feudal Japan are depicted… in the style of Chinese architecture from the Tang dynasty;

• The main theme in the soundtrack is played by an instrument called the Guzheng — a traditional Chinese musical instrument.

This “multicultural” approach has had positive results: Japanese and Chinese people have forgotten their old conflicts and are supporting each other in criticizing the narrative-driven creation.

Ubisoft responded to the negative feedback from players and made the only right decision… flooding the comments with bots.
