On the internet, there are increasing complaints from owners of the 24″ iMac with an M1 chip that noticeable horizontal lines appear on the screen after a year and a half to two years of use.
It remains unclear whether this problem is widespread. Some users report that Apple repaired their iMacs for free, while others complain that they had to pay for the official repair.
The lines persist on the screen even after rebooting the device, with one frequently mentioned cause being significant heating in the upper right corner of the display, which then leads to the appearance of the artifacts.
