
The studio adds that it has parted ways with just under 30 colleagues across departments as part of the restructuring. Crystal Dynamics expressed deep gratitude for those affected, praising their talent, dedication, and contributions, and said it will provide resources and support during the transition.
Addressing players, the developer said the changes were painful but necessary to adapt to evolving industry realities and to better focus ongoing work on its flagship Tomb Raider project while reshaping the studio to create future titles.
According to the studio’s official projects page, there are no other confirmed game projects announced publicly at this time aside from a second season of the Lara Croft animated series, which is slated to arrive on Netflix in December.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that Amazon’s separate Tomb Raider TV adaptation — from Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge and starring Sophie Turner as Lara Croft — remains planned, with filming currently penciled in for 2026.
