“Shrek 5” has been postponed to December 23, 2026
The initial release date for the animated film was July 1, 2026. Instead of “Shrek,” the premiere of the third part of “Minions” will now take place on this date, which was originally scheduled to be released a whole year later — on June 30, 2027.
Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, and Cameron Diaz will return to voice the main roles in the upcoming “Shrek.” The release of the fifth part will take place 25 years after the release of the first one.
