The developers of Tears of the Kingdom were too occupied to find inspiration in Elden Ring

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom‘s growth group claims it really did not take any type of motivation from Elden Ring since they really did not have time to play it. 

In a meeting with RTL Nieuws (equated by Nintendo Everything), Tears of the Kingdom’s supervisor, Hidemaro Fujibayashi, and also its manufacturer, Eiji Aonuma, spoke about where the group obtains its suggestions from when establishing a brand-new Zelda title. When asked if Elden Ring figured in by any means (FromSoftware formerly stated that the Legend of Zelda collection influenced its title), Fujibayashi discloses: “Sorry, but we didn’t really have the chance to play the game.”

“We were too occupied with the development of Tears of the Kingdom, which resulted in us not really being able to play games,” Fujibayashi proceeds, “we did hear about it, though.” 

Regardless of whether the superiors on the Tears of the Kingdom group had time to play anything else throughout its growth, Fujibayashi additionally includes: “Even if we had the time to play games, we wouldn’t reuse ideas from them. When we make a game, we come up with a general concept to come up with new ideas based on that.”

As for Aonuma, that is mainly understood for his service the Zelda collection, he’s “too proud” to take impact from any type of various other games: “Of course, there are situations where you make something that’s similar to an existing game,” Aonuma discloses, “but I would never try to put the ideas of others in my game. I’m too proud for that. I’m always looking for original ideas.”

On the subject of both of these games, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Elden Ring comparisons were inevitable, but monster variety is the only useful one.
