Fans of Switzerland’s Young Boys soccer group threw tennis balls and game controllers on the sphere to protest current esports investments.
The esports business has boomed lately, to the purpose that even conventional sports activities groups are questioning easy methods to get into the motion. Unfortunately, some followers don’t take kindly to this connection.
During a match between the Young Boys and Basel – two Swiss soccer groups – followers disrupted the game with a deliberate protest. Audience members from the Young Boys aspect threw tennis balls and Dualshock controllers into the sphere whereas unfurling a bigger banner. Some followers on Basel’s aspect even had a flag of their very own. Referees suspended the game for a couple of minutes in response. (Thanks Eurogamer.)

The Young Boys doesn’t have an esports group, however Basel does, together with an growing variety of soccer golf equipment. The reception amongst followers is clearly combined, as many would favor these investments go to real-world matches.
Thankfully, the protest didn’t cramp the Young Boys, who received by 7-1.
