It’s been a week of PC ports and surprise hits, with Catherine and Tales of Vesperia arriving on Valve’s platform, and subsequently into this week’s Steam charts rundown. We also have another game that’s only available in Chinese language, which further illustrates Steam’s surge in popularity among Chinese users.
If you have not read one of our Steam charts reviews before, this is where we browse through the games that Steam users are playing the most, as well as the games that are selling like proverbial hotcakes over the past few days. This way, you get a clear picture of what’s performing well on Steam and why, while also potentially pointing out some new games to add to your wishlist.
The Steam charts by concurrent players barely changes from week to week, with all the usual suspects regularly pulling in up to 100,000 concurrent players. However, the Steam top sellers list shifts around every week, reflecting the gaming landscape as well as Valve’s platform in the process. Better still, the Steam top sellers list is a great place to spot hefty discounts.
So, what’s going on with Steam this week? Here are the best-selling and most played games on from the past few days.

We start this week’s rundown with another game that’s only available in Chinese residing in the heralded top spot of the global top sellers list. The Great Immortal Simulator (it’s English title) is a roguelike with survival, RPG, and strategy elements. Players guide their character form above, attempting to survive, develop their martial art, and ultimately recreate the legend of Xiu Xian. Second and fourth go to Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition and Catherine Classic respectively – both make their debut on PC, so it’s no surprise that these cult hits are performing well.

In third spot we have PUBG, which has lost a couple of places since last week and is to be expected as interest in the new PUBG map falls away. In fifth and sixth place you’ll find two instances of Resident Evil 2, which is a strong sign of how excited Resi fans are to return to Racoon City seeing as we’re two weeks away from its release date. For seventh spot we’re back to PUBG with the Survivor Pass: Vikendi, which like PUBG itself, has lost a couple of places since last week.
In eighth we have Early Access survival game Raft, which is currently 20% off and is receiving significant updates every month. Rocket League makes its usual appearance, this week in ninth place – there’s been no updates to it and no sales since last week, which shows just how consistently popular its mash-up of rocket-powered battle-cars and football is. Our last spot goes to Black Desert Online, which was recently updated with new Archer Rabam skills and a Moonlit Memory event.

No new entries to the Steam charts by concurrent players this week, but a few games have shifted place. Warframe and Team Fortress 2 have gained a couple of places on Monster Hunter: World and Rust, but these ebbs and flows are to be expected.
