Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is coming to Marvel’s Avengers — for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players, that is — on Nov. 30. Developer Crystal Dynamics and publisher Square Enix announced the long-awaited release date for Spider-Man on Thursday, more than a year after the hero was first announced as a PlayStation exclusive.

Marvel’s Avengers’ late-November update will be substantial, because it will also introduce the game’s first raid, Discordant Sound, starring the sonic villain Klaw.

Spider-Man’s arrival on PlayStation platforms will also mean a new event, which Crystal Dynamics is calling the With Great Power Hero Event. According to an update on the Marvel’s Avengers website, players will experience Spider-Man’s story “through unlockable challenges woven throughout the Avengers Initiative.”

Here’s a quick breakdown from the blog post of what that will entail:

Peter Parker uncovers AIM’s new plan to acquire technology that could make their Synthoid army unstoppable and total domination inevitable. He must partner with the Avengers to stop this looming threat, and forms a tentative friendship with Ms. Marvel and Black Widow while keeping his identity hidden. As a Hero accustomed to working solo, he struggles with the new dynamics of working with a team. Will he join up full time with the Avengers, or stay independent in his fight against AIM?

Crystal Dynamics is also promising new and improved systems with the game’s version 2.2 patch. Maximum Power Levels are increasing from 150 to 175, and players will be able to get the best high-level gear from the game’s new raid. Gear upgrading is also coming, letting players recycle high-power gear to upgrade their current gear. Players will also have the chance to earn cosmetics and resources with Shipments, a new way to spend Units (an earnable in-game currency), that can also deliver premium cosmetics that are exclusive to Shipments. Finally, players will be able to enjoy per-hero weekly objectives, earning weekly rewards across multiple heroes.
