
Analysis of those test results is ongoing. Sony added that the studio will make adjustments if the KPI review indicates changes are necessary: “We are evaluating the performance against those KPIs and will apply corrections where required. We remain committed to the planned launch and currently expect the title to ship within this fiscal year; that projection is reflected in our forecast.”
That outlook suggests a release window in the latter half of 2025, aligning with earlier guidance that shifted the launch into the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, after its initial September 23 target slipped.
Hopefully, when Marathon finally arrives it lives up to expectations and performs better than Sony’s troubled shooter Concord, which was taken offline shortly after its debut.
