Rumor: ‘Slim’ Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim to be Released on September 25
According to a report by The Chosun Daily, the new model will officially go on sale only in South Korea and China. The device’s thickness in its folded state will be slightly over 10 mm, which is significantly less than the 12.1 mm of the standard Z Fold6.
By launching the Z Fold6 Slim, Samsung is likely attempting to narrow the gap with competitors like the Honor Magic V3 (9.2 mm) and the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 (9.47 mm). To achieve this, the special display layer that supports the S Pen stylus might be omitted.
Other expected changes include a larger internal and external display (8″ and 6.5″ compared to 7.6″ and 6.3″) and a slightly improved front-facing camera under the internal display (5 MP compared to 4 MP).
The estimated price is around $2100 (~192,200 ₽).
