Rumor: Apple is designing a smart display in the style of the iMac G4
The smart display will feature a hemispherical base with a long stand supporting the screen. This description is reminiscent of the iconic iMac G4, released in 2002.
The device will also be Apple’s first smart home product to support Apple Intelligence and will come equipped with an A18 chip.
Mark Gurman mentions that the new homeOS will be able to run FaceTime, Notes, Calendar, and other apps. He also describes the device as “well-suited for video and photo slideshows.”
The screen size is expected to be comparable to two iPhones, and the stand may include speakers. The release might happen as early as next year.
