Skate — Season 2 “Future Radical” Arrives December 2

Electronic Arts and Full Circle are launching Season 2 of Skate, titled Future Radical, in early December — the update is scheduled to go live on Dec. 2. In response to player feedback from the game’s early access period, the team is smoothing several progression pain points while adding new cooperative features and content.

New co-op mode: Own the Lot

The headline addition is Own the Lot, a timed, team-focused mode that challenges groups to complete as many Reqs as they can before time runs out. Parties can range from solo players up to four people, but Full Circle recommends teaming up (two or more) because difficulty and scaling increase with party size.

Own the Lot includes five reward thresholds:

  • Nailed It — finish 5+ Reqs: 20 Tix
  • Owned It — finish 10+ Reqs: 30 Tix
  • Crushed It — finish 15+ Reqs: 40 Tix
  • Killed It — finish 25+ Reqs: 55 Tix
  • Shut It Down — finish 40+ Reqs: 70 Tix

Tricks, visuals and quality-of-life changes

Season 2 introduces fresh tricks for the series, including Skate’s first-ever impossible and expanded, improved handplant animations. The San Vansterdam map and characters are also receiving a visual refresh with an ’80s-inspired aesthetic.

Full Circle is addressing concerns about scarce weekly challenges by rolling out seasonal Challenges each week, increasing the number of opportunities to earn Tix. Across the season, players should be able to earn more than double the Tix from these Seasonal Challenges (not counting what can be earned in the new Own the Lots). The update will add roughly 40 new and returning Challenges and Tasks for additional rewards.

Battle pass and progression tuning

The skate.Pass (battle pass) is being rebalanced to be less of a grind: there will be around 100 tiers per season and more activities to complete. Players will also receive more San Van Bucks (SVB) across the combined free and premium tracks — up to 500 SVB in total per season. That amount won’t immediately unlock the premium track by itself, but it means a player could afford the premium pass after two seasons if they collect the SVB available.

New cosmetics and brands

Season 2 expands the cosmetic pool with new accessories (kneepads, shirts, shorts, socks), additional hairstyles, decks, shirts and pants. New real-world and in-game brands joining Skate include OJ, Ricta, Sci‑Fi Fantasy and Adidas. For the full list of season details, see the game’s official site.
