Sony Executive Confirms PlayStation Lacks New Game Franchises
Company CFO Hiroki Totoki stated that the current franchises are not sufficient for the confident growth and development of PlayStation.
He noted that it is necessary to develop not only video games but also movies and animated series that can create new successful brands.
Currently, PlayStation is actively developing only a few original game series, such as Horizon, God of War, and The Last of Us. Many other franchises are not receiving adequate development and attention from the company, which is already concerning the management.
