
Robertson added that the team “really found something” with Dimitrescu. Though her time in Village was brief, the character nevertheless cultivated a devoted following — proof, she believes, that they “did something right.”
When asked if Capcom might bring Lady Dimitrescu back in a future title, Robertson said she would always accept the opportunity: “The answer to that is always going to be yes.” She also stressed that she has no special insight into Capcom’s plans. “I’m just a lowly actor,” she laughed. “I’ll find out when you do.”
The original Resident Evil developers pushed to include action mechanics such as charged attacks and sidesteps; director Shinji Mikami allowed a trial, but the tests made combat feel ridiculous rather than scary.
