The Pokémon Company has published an extended 10-minute trailer for its upcoming farming-sim spin-off, Pokopia, and it reveals a host of new details. The trailer opens with Professor Tangrowth, who will guide players around their undeveloped island home.
Pokopia focuses on crafting distinct habitats across your island to attract different Pokémon. The trailer shows Charmander emerging from dense grass, Slowpoke drifting near the docks, and Hitmonchan training with a punching bag. Small environmental touches matter—for instance, placing a chair and a fishing rod at the shoreline will draw Magikarp.
The trailer also teases other features: character customization, a camera mode, and four-player online co-op — including Game Share support for Switch and the upcoming Switch 2. The finale is particularly mysterious, showcasing a multicolored Smeargle, a ghostly Pikachu, and a massive moss-covered Snorlax. The official site names them Smearguru, Peakychu, and Mosslax, but provides few further details.
Pokopia is scheduled to launch on March 6, 2026, exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2, and—controversially—will not receive a physical edition.
