Pavel Durov commented on his detention in Paris for the first time
The founder of Telegram thanked everyone for their “support, love, and memes.”
“Last month, I was interrogated by police for four days after arriving in Paris… Sometimes we can’t reach an agreement with a country’s regulator on the right balance between privacy and security. In such cases, we are ready to leave that country… I hope that the events of August will lead to Telegram — and the entire social media industry — becoming safer and stronger,” wrote Durov.
