Ken Paxton says the game has become “a breeding ground for predators”.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has filed a lawsuit against Roblox Corporation, accusing the company of flouting online safety laws and transforming the platform into an “uncontrolled digital arena teeming with predators and sexual content”.
Paxton described Roblox as “a nursery for predators”, alleging the company prioritizes “pixelated pedophiles and corporate profit” over the safety of children in Texas. The attorney general contends the platform enables abusers to exploit its virtual currency, Robux, to lure minors, even as Roblox markets itself as a “safe, family‑friendly space for kids”.
The complaint cites evidence including screenshots of games featuring Nazi symbols, Ku Klux Klan avatars, simulations of nude parties, and alleged human‑trafficking scenarios.
We cannot allow platforms like Roblox to keep operating as digital playgrounds for predators, where children’s welfare is sacrificed to corporate greed. Roblox must do far more to protect kids from the sick and depraved individuals hiding behind screens. Any corporation that facilitates harm to children will face the full and unyielding force of the law.
