Xbox has plenty to be proud of — Ninja Gaiden 4 has earned strong reviews from critics. The game, released on October 21 by publisher Xbox Game Studios, holds an average score of 8.2 out of 10 on OpenCritic.
Several outlets gave the game top marks — GamesRadar+, Final Weapon, Vamers, DualShockers, and AltChart. Xbox also published a short clip emphasizing the new entry’s success.
However, not all critics are equally enthusiastic. XDA’s editorial team scored the game just 6/10, pointing to a weak narrative, repetitive trials, and an overall feeling of a “budget title.”
According to SteamDB, more than 11,000 players were in Ninja Gaiden 4 simultaneously. PlayTracker estimates Steam sales at roughly 130,000 copies.
