Netflix Cancels “The OA” After Two Seasons

Netflix’s “The OA”—created by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij—is not going to be returning for a 3rd season, in response to The Hollywood Reporter. The present, which premiered in December 2016, starred Marling as a younger girl who, after vanishing for seven years, returns dwelling with mysterious new powers. “The OA” additionally featured Sharon Van Etten and a score by Batmanglij’s brother Rostam. The present’s final season was launched in March.

“We are incredibly proud of the 16 mesmerizing chapters of ‘The OA,’ and are grateful to Brit and Zal for sharing their audacious vision and for realizing it through their incredible artistry,” Netflix head of originals Cindy Holland mentioned, in response to THR. “We look forward to working with them again in the future, in this and perhaps many other dimensions.”
