Necesse — a top-down, Terraria-like co-op survival game with an “infinite” world — leaves Early Access and rockets up Steam charts after Palworld hails it as “an absolute banger”

“To celebrate the launch, we are running a 50% discount on Necesse on Steam,” developer and self-publisher Fair Games ApS announced. The game is priced at $7.49 through October 30, and it can be even cheaper when purchased as part of a bundle with other survival titles.

Steam recently updated how bundles are displayed, and Necesse appears in several curated bundles alongside Palworld, Core Keeper, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, Tinker Lands and Guntouchables. Because I already own Palworld, I can pick up that bundle and get Necesse for $6.74 — a neat way to save even more.

Palworld communications director John “Bucky” Buckley publicly championed Necesse’s full release on X, calling it an “absolute banger” and praising its depth, solo and co-op playability, and addictive village-building mechanics.

The 1.0 launch has had a measurable impact: Steam’s top sellers chart shows Necesse rising to 17th place, just behind the roguelike breakout Megabonk.

Beating Hades 2, Megabonk, Dying Light: The Beast, and everyone else — the most powerful Steam release of the past month is an open-world physics sandbox with 27,000 gilded reviews.
