Images published by MP1st, which reportedly show Bluepoint’s assets, imply the cancelled game would have been large in scope and stylistically distinct. The screenshots emphasize Greek architecture, a clear departure from the Norse environments crafted by Santa Monica Studio.

You’ll spot amphorae and temple ruins, and one scene shows an underground cavern with yellow pools that evokes Hades. The apparent presence of a smith or armorer—possibly tied to the underworld—raises questions about where this title would have fit in the franchise timeline, since God of War has generally preserved a consistent canon.

Some shots also appear to borrow visual ideas from the more recent Norse entries. Could this have been intended as a narrative or stylistic bridge between Kratos’s Greek and Norse eras? Alternatively, it might have been conceived as a non-canonical celebration of the IP, similar in spirit to World of Final Fantasy.

From the leaks it seems many concepts were still in flux and no single direction had been finalized. The addition of live-service systems would have been a risky creative choice for a character like Kratos. Regardless of format, wherever Kratos next appears, it’s safe to expect a memorable impact.
