
That philosophy is why Erenshor was built specifically for solo play. “Players who buy it for a solitary experience get the complete package — the game is crafted with them in mind,” Burgee Media added. “I think solo gamers are significantly underrepresented in the current gaming landscape.”
So, no co-op in Erenshor for the moment. The indie developer hasn’t ruled it out forever: “After 1.0 I might bring someone on to add co-op, or release it as a free DLC to keep it separate from the main game. That’s just brainstorming, not a promise,” he said.
The indie creator behind this single-player MMO — which sold 30,000 copies in its first month — quit his job to make the game because he’d have regretted never trying.
