It’s notable the developers acknowledge those parallels, since much of the marketing has highlighted how First Light diverges from other Bond stories. Abrak also expressed pride that IOI was permitted to craft its own interpretation of the character rather than retell an existing portrayal.
The team was also quick to point out that their Bond won’t start out as a superhero; he’ll evolve into his role rather than arrive already invincible.
