Among the runner-ups, GTA 6 stands out. Having already secured multiple Golden Joystick Awards prior to release — including a Most Wanted victory in 2024 — it may be on pace to challenge The Witcher 3’s historical total. CD Projekt Red’s title accumulated ten awards across several years (Most Wanted wins in 2013 and 2014; five awards in 2015; and three more in 2016 for the Blood & Wine expansion). With GTA 6 already ahead, next year’s ceremony will be one to watch.
