It was a quiet day for GTA 6 followers — at least in terms of official announcements — but social channels told a different story, with fans convincing themselves that new information, perhaps even a third trailer, was imminent. That hopeful buzz didn’t materialize, and Rockstar’s update about November content for Red Dead Online did little to lift spirits.
Reddit and X users noticed a small change to GTA 6’s PlayStation Store entry on consoles: a box promoting the GTA+ subscription now appears on the page. The change reveals nothing new about the game itself, but any update fuels speculation, and naturally, people began guessing that something bigger might be on the horizon. Reddit users highlighted the change.
Unsurprisingly, that small store update inspired a lot of optimism. “I think today is the day,” one fan wrote on Reddit. “Holy fk! IT IS REAL!!!! We are getting trailer 3 soonnnnnnnn,” another commented, reacting to the PlayStation Store tweak.
One particularly eager fan channel, Project Vice, even hosted a two-hour, 20-minute YouTube livestream titled “GTA 6 TRAILER 3 ‘HOPIUM’ LIVE Stream”, only to end in disappointment when Rockstar instead posted an update about November content for Red Dead Online. That announcement included seasonal bonuses — for example, “Turkey Sales to any Butcher will pay out a whopping 10X RDO$ from November 25 through December 1” — which, while welcome to Red Dead players, did nothing to satisfy GTA 6 anticipation. Rockstar’s newswire post has the details.
One X user put it bluntly: “Adding GTA+ to the GTA 6 store page and then posting about RDO 17 minutes later than usual is DIABOLICAL work guys.” They shared the reaction. Others were less amused: “This isn’t GTA 6,” another posted, while someone else summed up the mood: “Everyone expecting GTA 6 crying rn.” That tweet captured the tone.
Of course, it’s possible Rockstar will surprise everyone and release GTA 6 trailer 3 at any moment, though that outcome looks less likely as the day passes. Even so, I won’t pretend I wasn’t anxiously refreshing Rockstar’s social feed earlier — when a major trailer drops, you want to be ready — so the hope is completely understandable.
