Unfortunately, Rockstar’s follow-up has reportedly been pushed back to November 2026, so this feels like another instance of GTA V briefly becoming effectively free. More than a decade old now, GTA V has been widely distributed and has appeared as a free offering several times, including a notable Epic Games Store giveaway.

Even so, the title continues to sell strongly and crops up on sales charts frequently — helped by periodic discounts. If the leak proves accurate, PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members would gain access to GTA V for roughly six months. Other additions to the catalogue haven’t been revealed; a formal announcement is reportedly expected on November 12.

Devolver Digital tightens its grip on Rockstar, now threatening to launch a game on GTA 6’s new November 2026 release date: “You can’t escape us.”
