
Since Spider-Man 2, PlayStation has released titles such as Helldivers 2 (which proved very successful long-term), Concord, Astro Bot, and Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Given that mix, outselling Concord was expected, but surpassing critically acclaimed releases like Astro Bot and Death Stranding 2—both of which received stronger reviews—is still a notable achievement.
Those figures are just for Europe. In Japan, the game reportedly sold 120,196 copies in its opening week. The Super Mario Galaxy double pack claimed second with 48,265 sales, while this year’s other samurai-themed RPG, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, managed roughly 17,700 first-week sales, according to Push Square.
