Fortnite devs reintroduce guns to custom “Delulu” 80-player matches after removing them from proximity chat mode — players say “Who is gonna tell him”

Epic says it “saw a lot of the community embracing new ways to hang out and have fun when gunplay wasn’t front and center,” but also heard players who missed the option to eliminate rivals before a final heal‑off. As a result, during the Delulu period beginning October 24, weapons are available again — though Epic warns it may continue to tweak the meta frequently.

The update also introduces fully customizable matches that can host up to 80 players. Epic suggests gathering your whole dorm or friend group to try it out, but notes a custom match can run with “as few as 1” player. A tailored Delulu round sounds like an entertaining way to settle turf disputes or stage a chaotic meetup.
