Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp is a new HD collection featuring both tactics classics, Nintendo announced at its E3 2021 Nintendo Direct presentation on Tuesday.
Nintendo’s latest remaster includes the original Advance Wars and its sequel, Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising. Both games are “reimagined and rebuilt” for modern players. The Advance Wars titles originated on the Game Boy Advance in 2001 and 2003.
The Advance Wars titles are both colorful, animated military tactics games. Players control armies, led by story characters and battle across maps, capturing territories. There are rocket units, tank units, aerial, naval units and more, all designed to help players battle against the enemy. Players can purchase new units based on the battle’s needs.
Nintendo has remastered the campaigns from the original Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2 for Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. The remaster will also feature a Versus Mode for up to four players to battle on dozens of maps, Nintendo says.
Nintendo will launch the remastered collection for Nintendo Switch on Dec. 3. Re-Boot Camp is a full-price title, and will run players $59.99.
