Fallout 76 beta development will carry over to completed game

Bethesda has made the uncommon choice to maintain Fallout 76 beta progress unlocked within the accomplished game.

During most game betas, it’s frequent for in-game progress to be reset at launch – especially if significant changes are made. Not so with Fallout 76 – Bethesda has confirmed in a FAQ that beta progress will carry over when Fallout 76 formally launches.

“The B.E.T.A. is the full game. Our current plan is for your progress to carry over once Fallout 76 officially launches on November 14. Stay tuned for more information,” reads the official line.

The beta itself goes live on October 23 for Xbox One owners, and week afterward October 30 for PS4 and PC gamers.

Fallout 76 makes use of a leveling and perk system based on the classic S.P.E.C.I.A.L system. In this case, every perk seems as playing cards that may be improved over the course of gameplay. Some make it simpler to hold heavy weapons, others present bonus expertise when in groups, and so forth. When the game launches in November, gamers will be capable to choose up proper up the place they left off.

Considering how few games preserve beta progress, it will likely be attention-grabbing to see how this choice impacts steadiness in a multiplayer game. The beta begins in October, probably giving pre-order prospects a big head-start on their Day One friends. It appears on this case, Bethesda doesn’t imagine it will likely be a considerable downside.

Fallout 76 launches for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 14, 2018.
