Elden Ring Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollows was unveiled during Sony’s State of Play and will be released on December 4, 2025. The expansion expands the cooperative survival experience with new adversaries, fresh regions to explore, and additional playable Nightfarers — arriving earlier than many fans expected.
The Forsaken Hollows introduces two new Nightfarers, increasing the playable roster to ten. The Scholar is a learned tactician whose elevated arcane aptitude rewards careful study of the battlefield, while the Undertaker is a devout executor of fate, combining formidable strength and faith to send foes to their end. Players should also prepare for at least two new Nightlords and several returning legends from the wider Soulsborne catalog. The trailer teases the Divine Beast Dancing Lion alongside well-known figures such as Artorias the Abysswalker and Bayle the Dread, who reappear as formidable threats in Nightreign. Additional enemies drawn from Elden Ring will stalk Limveld, helping keep encounters varied and unpredictable.
A new destination opens with a fifth Shifting Earth event: the Great Hollow. Buried deep within Limveld, the Great Hollow is scattered with exotic ruins and ancient temples, punctuated by towering relics of a lost civilization and crystalline formations that emit a cursed, life-sapping miasma.
Elden Ring Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollows will launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X on December 4, 2025. The expansion is available to players who own the Deluxe Upgrade Pack or who purchased Nightreign’s Collector’s Edition or Deluxe Edition.
