REDstreams special — Interview with Mike Pondsmith – YouTube

Pondsmith emphasizes the glitch occurred “before we had done release,” yet those kinds of oddities — T-poses and disappearing clothing — did surface in the retail version. CD Projekt Red even offered refunds to dissatisfied players back in 2020. Over the next few years the studio worked on fixes, and by April 2024 they said they were “finally happy” with the state of the game.
Today, Cyberpunk 2077 is far less defined by those early problems. The title carries a “Very Positive” rating on Steam and supports a passionate modding community. The developers continue to update the RPG, Phantom Liberty (the 2023 expansion) was well received, and chatter about a potential sequel persists.
