According to Teuf, he invested heavily to build SevenWands: he hired developers and mappers for 13 months, claims to have spent over $100,000, and says the server has attracted roughly 10,000 players to date.
“We have nothing to do with Harry Potter,” he emphasizes. “While we’re fans of the franchise and inspired by it, out of respect for the rules we built an entirely original magical universe — lore, spells, and factions created from scratch.”
“Everything we do is for the community,” Teuf adds. “We hope this matter is resolved quickly; we don’t believe this action is deserved.”
Former Rockstar and GTA lead Dan Houser has observed that gaming can “either go somewhere really interesting or somewhere that gets overly focused on making money.”
