Last evening’s Beast Coast live performance in Sterling Heights, Michigan was canceled after the venue obtained threats of a possible capturing, The Associated Press, ClickOnDetroit.com, and The Macomb Daily report. Promoter 313 Presents announced the live performance’s cancelation only a few hours earlier than it was scheduled to start.
According to ClickOnDetroit.com, Sheriff Anthony Wickersham stated the venue obtained two separate phone threats of gun violence. “We had plans to beef up our safety with further uniformed and plainclothes deputies after we had been contacted by the safety at [Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at] Freedom Hill informing us the live performance was being canceled,” Wickersham stated, in line with The Macomb Daily. “Our people were already on site when word of the cancelation came down.”
According to The AP, there might be an investigation to find out who positioned the cellphone calls.
