Battlefield 6 Official Multiplayer Gameplay Trailer – YouTube

It’s clear DICE and EA struck gold with Battlefield 3’s multiplayer design — none of Battlefield 6’s maps make the top ten. The largest BF6 map in the ranking, Operation Firestorm, is listed at under 0.5 km², which is a drastic contrast to the franchise’s biggest arenas.
A third chart compares total map areas in square kilometers and again shows Battlefield 3 dominating the leaderboard. Four of the five smallest maps in that list come from Battlefield 6; Saints Quarter is the second smallest, with Ziba Tower from Battlefield 3 just below it. Those figures are striking given the developer’s stated aim to recapture the feel of Battlefield’s high points — the compact sizes only strengthen player complaints that Battlefield 6 skews toward close-quarters encounters.
Players on Reddit echoed those frustrations. Several comments pointed out that while some maps are visually attractive, play is often hampered by tight out-of-bounds zones that make matches feel claustrophobic. Others said maps like Liberation Peak feel more spacious and better designed, but that many BF6 arenas still place you in exposed positions where enemies can spot you from multiple angles.
There’s still room for change: future updates or new map additions could expand multiplayer playgrounds and help the game measure up more favorably against its predecessors.
