Back 4 Blood is coming to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscription service as soon as it’s released, the publisher announced during its E3 presentation on Sunday. The upcoming zombie game will be available for Xbox Game Pass subscribers on all of the Game Pass platforms.
The new game is a spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead and its format should be familiar to any fans of the series. In fact, it even comes from Turtle Rock, the developers behind both Left 4 Dead games. Back 4 Blood is a player-versus-player zombie survival game in which one team takes on the role of survivors facing off against an AI-controlled horde, while certain special zombies will be controlled by players.
Back 4 Blood is set to be released on Oct. 8. While developer Turtle Rock has partnered with Microsoft to bring Back 4 Blood to game pass on release day, it isn’t an Xbox exclusive. The game will also arrive on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 at launch, alongside the Xbox Game Pass versions for Windows PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
