These bad reviews from people are probably from some competitiors with a game of the same genre.

After being removed from the game, the bug was completely fixed, and players who purchased can still play, but new players are restricted from continuing to purchase.

But you say the main issue is fixing bugs & additional polish. (Temporarily) restricting new players from purchasing the game seems like an excessive step to take.
The same dynamic happened with "Medical Record Sheet" which was only available too from a China developper from approximately one week. And they will publish again the game soon in a new name : Healer.
