I also have this issue. This plus a crash meant I had to go through character creation and the first 20 min on the ship all over again. Not an auspicious start

Update, I fixed it.
1. Turn off the Cloud Sync to Baldur's Gate 3
2. Remove the folder "C:\Users\myUser\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3"
3. Start the game and not enable the Cloud Sync.

Now you can save the game locally :)

Yes, I have the 122 GB game data, and I'm experiencing the same issue.

I am experiencing an error where the game says it is currently syncing and I can't save the game. It has been doing this since I started the full version of the game after the full release. I deleted all my saves off the Steam Cloud and Larian's service as well as my PC itself so there should be no saves to sync. It has showed that error for a few minutes now.

In preparation for the full release, I manually deleted all Cloud data from the Steam Cloud yesterday using an external program because that was the first way I found that actually permanently deleted the save data. I also deleted any saves from the game that appeared in the game load menu, so the Larian service shouldn't have any saves either. Yet, the game is stuck trying to sync saves that aren't there and blocks me from saving or loading the game save with the "Game is still syncing" error message.

Same, tried deleting all my local saves, turning off cloud saving, deleted my game profile, started a few new games etc. Can't save, it's grayed out with a "Can't save, game is currently syncing" error. Can't really do much until this is resolved

I'm having this issue too. It just keeps spinning saying "syncing cloud save". I actually started with cloud saves off, so I was surprised to see this.

I went back to the main menu and lost my character and what I'd done. I thought I had auto backup enabled, so even that doesn't work.

I tried exiting and restarting the game. Had to go through the character creation and everything again. Still having the same issue...

Same here. Just got done with nautiloid but no point in continuing if i'm just gonna have to remake the character. Super disappointing!!!

Bump -- Larian this is a serious issue. People will get pissed the longer they play without being able to save
