And DON'T RUIN TESVI with the procedural generation system! PLEASE!!!!
I don't want generic and repetitive CTRL C + CTRL V content! Nobody likes that!
THIS IS NOT FUN!
EDIT:
Despite my disappointment with the quality and pace of updates, I just wanted to write this to help both Starfield players and potential newcomers.
There are many concerns and criticisms regarding the game and I acknowledge that they are valid to great extent. Nevertheless, I hope to assist you in viewing Starfield more positively and in enjoying the game to its fullest. I will provide counterarguments to some of these criticisms in the form of a conversation between A and B.
A: One prevalent issue is that Bethesda games can't escape the stigma of being labeled "Bugthesda." They are often criticized for relying on their community to create mods that fix and complete their games.
B: While it's true, BGS games have consistently followed this pattern. Just recall how Skyrim had its share of bugs initially, but patches eventually ironed out the issues. Most importantly, mods created by the community enhanced the game beyond. It's crucial to be aware of the unique ecology of BGS and the community and have faith in their combined abilities to improve the game.
A: Another criticism is that Starfield is merely a "loading cutscene simulator" and not a true spaceship simulation.
B: Try to think of it as Fallout in space, then you may find it more enjoyable without setting unrealistic expectations. Avoid comparing it to games like Elite Dangerous, Star Citizen, or No Man's Sky. If you've never been a fan of the Fallout series, then Starfield may not be the right game for you. Also don't listen to Todd's marketing pitch for his future games to avoid getting overly hyped.
A: Starfield is inferior to Baldur's Gate 3.
B: Baldur's Gate 3 is objectively a masterpiece and a strong contender for GOTY. However, it's not entirely fair to directly compare Starfield to BG3. Starfield has its own merits and is a good game in its own right, as you may discover.
In conclusion, I hope you thoroughly enjoy your investment in this game. Additionally, please note that Starfield is available on Game Pass, which provides an excellent opportunity to explore it if you're still undecided about making a purchase.
EDIT2:
By the Nine! Kindly don't let these distracting blue-colored headline posts created by our fellow jesterbros take your attention away. While they deserve recognition for their efforts, they already have collected enough jester points and thus I would appreciate if you could consider spending your steam stickers more wisely by redirecting them elsewhere or saving them for your own benefit. Thank you for your cooperation.
