Why Early Access?

“The game will release episodically but we don't want to charge people per episode. So it will be a one time price and then you will get access to the new episodes as they release.

As well as this it means we can take in feedback from players and improve the game as I continue to develop it based on said feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The planned release window for all episodes to be complete is 2024. Subject to change.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The game will be considered the full version when all episodes we have planned are released. As well as quality of life improvements and bug fixes.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current build doesn't contain all the levels from the first episode. When the game actually enters early access and is available to the public it will contain all levels which make up the first episode.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the game will be cheaper during early access of course. The price won't go up too much though after the final release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will be asking for feedback during early access and will tune the game based on this feedback. We will also be open to suggestions from the community for level/enemy ideas as a way for people to feel more involved in the process.”

About This Game

Coven is a fast-paced retro fps/slasher which is heavily inspired by classic fps games such as Blood and Timesplitters.

In the first episode you take on the role of a young girl in an alternate 1600's who is wrongly accused of witchcraft and is burned at the stake. She's resurrected by an unknown force and seeks revenge.

In the first episode:
- Utilize an explosive mix of early modern period weaponry and magic
- Movement is key - dash, slide and slow down time in order to survive
- Eat the flesh of the newly deceased to regain health so you may continue on your path of rigorous vengeance
- Explore villages, temples, forests and cities to uncover the secrets of the old gods
- Soundtrack by John S. Weekley aka Primeval

2 more episodes will release during early access which will continue the story. Each set in a different time and place across history.
