About this game

The AI implementation is optimized for android and therefore much faster than other go AI programs in the play store.

You can play against an AI opponent which is customizable in various ways:
- set rank
- set komi
- set thinking time
- use opening book
- select neural network
- tune parameters like "number of playouts"

Furthermore you can analyse a single position or a whole game with AI to identify errors. The analysis may be restricted to a local region to solve tsumego.

You can load and save SGF files and share SGF files from other apps to BadukAI.

The UI is based of Alexander Taylor's app "LazyBaduk" (with kind permission from him), enriched by a lot of additional features. For a complete description of all functionalities have a look at https://aki65.github.io

Nice improvements in the last update, but I prefered when hovering a move would show the full variation all at once. Having to wait for the moves to play out slowly is pretty frustrating. Or at least it would be nice to be able to set the speed.

You can set the speed in the settings (top-right button). Tap "Manage time settings", then adjust the speed in "animation speed for variations". Choosing 0.0 will get you the whole variation almost instantly.

Best go AI engines are included with useful UI. It beats all other go apps, free and paid. Previously I like Lazy Baduk with LZ. But it doesn't play handicap games well and komi is fixed at 7.5. No much needed game saving/loading feature either. Baduk AI has them all. And it's free with no ad. Good work.

The UI is terrible. Maybe it's good as an analysis tool or something. I just want to play handicapped games against the computer which I found difficult to make it do. There doesn't even appear to be a way to resign and start a new game, and crashes are frequent.

This review obviously refers to another app, since BadukAI is free (and has always been so).
