The next event to hit Pokémon Go will be an “Eggstravaganza,” adding baby Pokémon back to the 2 kilometer egg pool. It will also introduce Shiny Buneary and Lopunny for the first time.

The Eggstravaganza event takes place from April 16 at 4 p.m. ET until April 23 at 4 p.m. ET. The event notice says, “Pokémon like Pichu, Smoochum, and Magby” will be included in the two kilometer egg pool and that there will be double candy rewarded from egg hatches. Incubators will also hatch eggs twice as fast and Lucky Eggs will last twice as long during the event. The egg pool is also going to change, though details on what else gets shifted beyond the baby Pokémon is still unknown.

Bunearys that spawn in the wild will have an increased chance of appearing Shiny during this time. After the event is over, Shiny Buneary and Lopunny will be added to the game permanently, but will appear at a much lower rate.

There will also be special limited-time egg-based research tasks, though there is no word yet on what the tasks will require or what they’ll reward. You can probably expect to have to hatch some eggs, so it’s a good time to stock up on Incubators.
