We get a lot of emails to the site – often letting us know about the latest developments on people’s favorite fandoms, or asking to write more about niche fandoms we’ve yet to come across.

But last week we received something different…

A Texas man, who has asked to remain anonymous for reasons that will become apparent in a moment, got in touch with us to ask if anyone at FandomSpot could teach him everything there is to know about Fortnite, and specifically Fortnite Lore.

The reason? He wants to propose to his girlfriend on their anniversary in March, but wants to build his relationship with her kids more before he does. And those kids are obsessed with all things Fortnite.

Fortnite Lore was first introduced in season three of the game in 2018. Before that it was a simple Battle Royale-style game with a separate story mode.

Now the story is a complex narrative that can be confusing and often leads to discussion and debate on fan forums.

While we can’t help him directly, we don’t just want to close the chapter on our part in this love story. So we’re on the hunt for the world’s biggest expert in Fortnite Lore, and will pay up to $100 an hour for their services.

The soon-to-be stepdad of three explains more in his email (below) about what he’s looking for, and we’re keen to help him find it so we can throw the first FandomSpot wedding! We’re sure after this it will be 100% Fortnite themed…

Applications for stage one are now open:
