Lil Wayne (real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.) was born in New Orleans. His birthday is Sept. 27, 1982, and his height is 5'5". He started his music career young, signing to Cash Money Records at age 12 and joined the Hot Boys. The group's sophomore album, 'Guerrilla Warfare' released in July 1999, reached No. 5 on the Billboard 200, with Weezy's solo debut studio album 'Tha Block Is Hot' arriving that November; it peaked at No. 3, with its title track and lead single reaching No. 72 on the Hot 100. He's since released multiple No. 1 albums, including 'The Carter II,' 'The Carter III,' 'The Carter IV' and 'The Carter V,' and several No. 1 songs, including "Down" with Jay Sean, "Lollipop" with Static Major and "I'm the One" with DJ Khaled, Justin Bieber, Quavo and Chance the Rapper. In addition to the aforementioned, he's also collaborated with Destiny's Child, Drake, Eminem, Birdman, Jay-Z and many others. He's won several Grammys, including best rap album for 'Tha Carter III' and best rap song for 'Lollipop.' In August 2023, the rapper was inducted into Billboard's Hip-Hop Hall of Fame.
