The Xiaomi Mi 7 expected to arrive in the first half of next year, and the alleged renders of the device have just surfaced. The Xiaomi Mi 6 is made out of metal and glass, and so is the phone that just surfaced, though this handset sports considerably thinner bezels than the Xiaomi Mi 6. The Mi 6 was a compact smartphone, mainly due to its 5.15-inch display, and the device that just surfaced could end up being just as compact, but with a considerably larger display, which is something the source also mentions, read on.

As you can see, the alleged Xiaomi Mi 7 that just surfaced barely has any bezel on its front side, and it actually resembles the Samsung Galaxy S9 renders that surfaced quite recently. The top bezel is thicker than the lower bezel on this phone, and the device’s display features rounded corners. This handset comes with a dual camera setup on the back, and interestingly enough, those two cameras are located in the upper-left corner, but are vertically aligned, while a dual-LED flash is placed in-between them. Xiaomi’s logo is easily visible on the back of this phone, and you’ll also notice that all the physical keys are included on the right-hand side of the leaked Xiaomi Mi 7. It’s also worth noting that the phone’s back side is curved, and the device is probably made out of metal and glass, though it’s possible that ceramic ends up being a part of the package as well, as that is the route Xiaomi went with the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2.

Now, according to the source, the Xiaomi Mi 7 will sport a 5.8-inch display, and we’re looking at an 18:9 display aspect ratio here. The Xiaomi Mi 7 is expected to ship with an AMOLED display, and if the rumored info is to be believed, we’re looking at a QHD+ AMOLED display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top of it. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 SoC, which has not been announced just yet, is expected to fuel the Mi 7, and the device will probably arrive in both 6GB and 8GB RAM variants, which will sport 128GB and 256GB of native storage. A 3,950mAh non-removable battery has also been mentioned by the source, and the same can be said for a dual SIM setup. Android 8.0 Oreo is expected to ship out of the box here, though it’s possible that Android Nougat will come pre-installed instead. In any case, Xiaomi’s custom UI, MIUI 9, is coming for sure. At least one of the phone’s main snappers will sport an f/1.7 aperture, and a 19-megapixel shooter has also been mentioned, though it remains to be seen how accurate is this info.
