I originally bought an asus laptop and it was one of the worst purchases I could’ve ever made. I made the poor decision for going for an asus vs a mac and it worked well for about a month or two then never worked properly again. Super slow with little memory used.

The quality of Asus has gone down hill

The quality of Asus has gone down hill. My first laptop I purchased from them lasted 10 years. I purchased this laptop at the end of 2022 - the Zenbook to be exact. I have had may issues in the last year with it sporadically shutting off or hanging up (waiting to load). These are not cheap laptops and honestly, I expected better from them. I am seriously thinking about tossing it to the closet and using it only as a spare. How can you use this for business if you can't rely on it.

Asus for a laptop, never again !

Asus for a laptop? Although I've always been loyal to the brand, never again! One of the most recent bugs with Asus computers is the keyboard, which goes haywire. I've spent years (in the 5 or 6 years I've had my current computer) regularly losing hours of work because the keyboard jams on a key (a software problem? At least not a hardware one). The only solution (depending on which key is stuck) is to uninstall the keyboard and reinstall it. Many customers have this problem. Next computer not asus, that's for sure!

Terrible Support

ASUS refuse to warranty a brand new faulty motherboard where two of the RAM slots do not work! This has resulted in me buying an MSI board to replace it! Crazy for such a premium product I bought! £180 down the drain!

Horrible experience with the support…

Horrible experience with the support people -
I bought a laptop and extended its warranty by two years. I sent my laptop for repair and centre suggested it had a water spillage and I have to pay for the handling charges. The quoted amount exceeded laptop purchase price by 50%.

If this was not enough, I had to exchange 50+ emails along 15 calls to get my machine back depsite paying the handling cost the same day. To make things worse, It took 30 days to send machine unrepaired.

Finding - Laptop's screws, rubber pads were stolen or overlooked. Keyboard stopped working as the connectors were not fixed.

Quite a way to service your customer. Suggest never to buy an ASUS laptop ever.

the zenfone 9 that I bought has big problems with basic calls (cracking voice) and is not able to connect via roaming when I am abroad. Assistance is useless because they simply ask you to send them logs when they are aware of this problem (if you do a little bit of web search you will find tons of complains). Assistance is based in Czech Republic = I sent twice my phone to them and the phone was not in my availability for 1 month . Avoid

Ideal for students

Bought my Asus Vivobook 16 (M1605) last August 2023. 7 months down and no major (not even minor) issues. I've been using it for both my studies and freelance jobs. I use it mainly for video editing and graphic design. A little gaming here and there. MyAsus sure is a big help for keeping my laptop in the utmost condition.

I'm incredibly disappointed with Asus's…

I'm incredibly disappointed with Asus's laptop repair services and must give a 1-star review. Despite my loyalty and trust in Asus products, my recent experience has left me troubled.

After purchasing a new Asus laptop in April 2021, it broke down in May 2022, just over a year later. Despite repair, it broke down again in July 2023. Requesting additional fixes for missing keyboard buttons and a lost ROG key stone, I was shocked by the refusal to investigate the recurring issue.

Furthermore, the repair quote exceeded the cost of a new laptop of the same model. This is unacceptable and has left me deeply disheartened.

I'm dealing with depression, and this situation has only worsened my distress. I urge Asus to reconsider my case with urgency and empathy, providing a fair solution.

I hope Asus can rectify this and restore my faith in the brand. However, given my experience, I cannot give more than a 1-star rating.

ASUS is another of those companies in…

ASUS is another of those companies in which "helpline" and "support" means exactly the opposite.
Like most modern laptops, mine does not have an internal DVD/CD player so I bought an external one by ASUS. The retailer was Argos who's Q&A section assured customers that DVD/CDs could be played via the product.
Well, to cut a long story short, the ASUS product does allow me to listen to CDs but not watch DVDs. So I contacted the "support" page (sic) on the ASUS website which contained a very complicated enquiry form. Eventually I had to give up because it wanted all sorts of titles, numbers and codes - which were impossible to find - beyond the basic serial number.
Next step was to phone the ASUS "helpline" (yeah, right) where I was given several numbers to press depending on the product. The products mentioned did not include "external drives" so I just tried pot luck. I then got an automated voice instructing me to fill in the enquiry form (the one I found impossible to complete - see above) after which I would be contacted by e-mail. There them followed a curt "goodbye".
Therefore the telephone helpline is a waste of time because all it does is refer you back to the online enquiry form - which I dare anyone other than a technical genius to be able to complete!
The only comfort I get from this is that my bad experience relates to a cheapo (£28) product, so at least I now know to avoid ASUS if buying anything more expensive in the future.
Shower of barrow boys!

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful, have a laptop requiring a new motherboard but they would not supply the part only insisting that it goes through their repair process which means having to spend at least a £45 on handling fee either way.

They then send the repair to a third party called letmerepair who are even worse. When they recieved my laptop then they quoted an extortionate amount but not only for a new motherboard, but also for a new LCD panel and bezel. Why? Because someone their end has smashed the LCD panel which was in perfect condition upon sending. It has not been smashed by the courier either as DPD packed it extremely well. Luckily I have photos of the LCD before sending it however letmerepair are refusing to reply to any contact on the matter so looks like small claims court next.

ASUS gonna blame it on you

I recently had this laptop for 6 months and I used a desktop most of the time so I rarely use the laptop. Recently, whenever I charge the laptop, it would randomly shut down. I then send it for repair and they told me that I have to pay the motherboard for 1.6k as it had a liquid stain. Wow, a laptop has not last 6 months, and have not finished paying installment for this laptop yet, now have to pay extra for it. Called the service team and they say they could not do anything as it is part of their check up criteria.

Having been a dedicated Asus fas for years…

Having been a dedicated Asus fan for almost 20 years. Have owned 4 Asus laptops, number of Asus nVidia Graphics card, motherboards, LCDs and always keen to recommend the brand or products to fiends and anyone seeking advice on PC peripherals I feel I had been let down on this occasion. When my current ROG started playing up after 7 years of service (with RAM and HDD upgrades) I decided to get a new TUF A15 series directly form the Asus commerce last week. And all went fine until I get a striped down version delivered and nothing that I expected. Over years and each Asus laptop HAS ALWAYS arrived with bunch of peripherals (mouse, mat, headphones) and a decent backpack which in my opinion had been a massive advantage and gave Asus the edge over competition. BUT NOT this time, plain box and adapter - that's all! And it felt rather poor and far below any expected excitement for my hard earn cash spent with Asus. The CS was very unhelpful and sounded somehow happy to turn me down. This is all in spite a tech department which I reached out to over the phone first confirm the system indicated the laptop was bundled! It was NOT what I had expected AT ALL. It looks to me I will be shopping somewhere else for my Laptops and PCs accessories next time around. It truly sucks!

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. Just kept asking me the same questions over and over and over. Spent over 5 minutes on the phone just repeating the serial number multiple times. Horrible phone delay, probably in India. Representative were not even familiar with their own app. Buy a competitors products.

Brand new $3000 gaming ROG computer

Brand new $3000 gaming ROG computer, loaded fine and within 12 hours it stopped booting into windows. I'll save you all the steps, but hours later and talking to horrible India customer service, they told me to return it. Thanks a lot!!! all my login data is on it!

This device will get you anxiety and stress.

This device has ruined my whole life by automatically setting up stuff that I didn't ask for and now the only way to fix it is hiring a hacker to have access to all my privacy.
That's something else.

This useless laptop only is worth it if you want to use it to watch youtube and netflix, NOTHING ELSE.
Suddenly the system stops working and is opening random pages while I'm trying to work.

AVOID, the cheapest is the most expensive ever at the end.

…buy another manufacturers product.

Asus will not accept the form of receipt that Argos provided as proof of purchase, not sure what I can do so left it for Argos to sort out,my advice would be buy another manufacturers product.

Awful repair services in the UK.

Awful repair services in the UK.

1) on the official website you have no option to chat regarding repair support;
2) you are being redirected to the LetMeRepair website - a company which officially provides appalling laptop repair services. They received a laptop on 20 February since then I keep being fed excuses why they cannot return my laptop. This is unacceptable, I paid the money, I received nothing. Now the company keeps ignoring me without answering my emails. I do not accept "we have many orders" as an excuse - this is not a customer's problem. I did my part - I sent the laptop, I paid for the work.
3) when I try to contact asus.com and select UK, the option of 'complaint' simply disappears from the menu (although it exists in other countries) - isn't this ridiculous?
4) HP did an amazing work - 4 days after I sent the laptop, I received a repaired, clean, tested laptop back.
5) no more asus (maybe they make cool laptops but what is the point if I cannot repair it if something goes wrong?)

Fantastic customer service, efficient and speedy.

I had no choice but to accept a repair to my laptop after it failed to power-up and I was very reluctant to send it to ASUS having read some of the reviews. My laptop was within one week of the one year warranty. However, the process was easy, quick and more efficient than I could have hoped. My laptop was collected from my home, repaired and returned within a week. I was expecting it to take weeks and I thought I would have to chase ASUS. They sent me emails with clear instructions and they kept me informed. E.g. one working day after the laptop was collected by DPD they advised me by email that they had analysed the fault, had the part and were proceeding to repair it. The next email a few days later was advising me of the return. I am so happy with this company and with the repair.

I bought "ASUS ROG STRIX FLARE"…

I bought "ASUS ROG STRIX FLARE" keyboard on Feb 2021 from one of ASUS authorised retail partner. The keyboard is great, and I am very pleased in general. However almost exactly one year later, one of the Multimedia Keys LED died, a button that I almost never touch for the whole year using this keyboard. The key itself is still working, just the LED died.

Asus TUF VG28UQL1A 4K Monitor

Excellent monitor great screen, great refresh rate, lots of FPS on all the racing games I play. Looks good on Netflix and Sky. Easy to use, easy to set up. Only thing that was an issue was the inset vesa mount. My sim rig monitor stand was a flat mount and as the vesa mount screw points are recessed into the back of the monitor I had to use spacers and longer bolts to attach it to the stand. But not really an issue just be aware when mounting it to an aftermarket stand.
