Logan Paul is facing a serious backlash from PETA

"This sort of content has no place on YouTube or anywhere else".

Logan Paul has faced a backlash from animal rights organisation PETA after a video showed him using a taser gun on the body of a dead rat.

The latest controversy facing the divisive YouTube star comes after he was condemned last month for showing the body of a suicide victim during a trip to Japan.

In the video which posted on February 5, Paul is seen pulling a fish from a pond and remarks that “it’s still breathing” before throwing it back in the pond.

Incredibly, the same vlog later showed him using a taser gun on two dead rodents in a segment entitled “Get These Rats”.

Now, YouTube has responded by suspending adverts on Paul’s videos after Peta called for an appropriate response.

“This sort of content has no place on YouTube or anywhere else, as it could desensitize young people to cruelty to animals. PETA is calling on the platform to remove it”, the organisation confirmed in a statement.

The latest incident comes less than a moth after Paul attracted huge controversy during an extremely problematic trip to Japan.

The vlogger was condemned in January after uploading a clip to his YouTube channel that showed him and his friends discovering a dead body in Japan’s Aokigahara Forest, a notorious suicide hotspot.

It later transpired that Paul was responsible for consistent inappropriate behaviour throughout the trip, including thrusting dead fish in people’s faces and running through the streets dressed as a Pokemon.
After a brief hiatus, he later returned to YouTube with a suicide awareness video.
