About that ending....
So uh, obvious spoiler alert, your wife gives birth to the antichrist and the world ends? Is that it? Also what did this have to do with Outlast? I think this should have just been called "Revelations" or something like that. Apparently the developers didn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about connecting the two games in any way, and went full on supernatural with this one. I don't know, I just thought the ending was a little lame and too abrupt to end the Outlast 'series', if you could call it that.

Yeah i watched nearly all of it and I dont understand the very last part of the ending. Like he dreams about praying with the woman when they were young? Also, did it ever explain what that super ultra bright light was that kept randomly flashing through out the game?

You only scratched the surface. You need to dig a bit deeper.

To uncover more of the story you must read the notes throughout
The game it tells you that the bright light in the sky which makes you hillucinate is Murkoff brain washing people or something like that, it's why throughout the game Blake loses his mind.

Haha, you guys are awesome. "Hey boss, this guy didnt read the notes we put in the game and he doesnt get the ending." "Just show him an outlast 2 story explained article." I get it now. Murkoff made everyone crazy, and the world didn't actually end. Also there was no baby. Okay, cool. At least that leaves it open to more installments or DLC. I like that by the end you are just another nutjob.

Blake did use XTC true the whole game, story is really a mind ♥♥♥♥ in my opinion even with all notes xD.

It was a good game developers, but a bit weird on the many outcomes of the story.

The child is a illusion, the walrider in outlast 1 while he was being made. They had to get all the woman away becuase for some reason the woman were pregnant, tho they actually didn't have a baby inside of them, although they showed all the signs of being pregnant

also in outlast whistle blower, the man who tries to turn males to females is doing it for the walrider, because the walrider wants to take a physical form

thats why all the townsfolk want to kill lynn, because the child could be the walrider inside of her. But when she quotes 'there is nothing there', there isn't any child, its just the effects of the walrider

also the white flash is a mind controlling flash made from murkoff as some sort of experiment, and gets stronger over time.

That explains everything, well it explains the ending and how the walrider fits into this. And also all the woman in the town had their child killed, but for lynn, she had the signs of being pregnant but there was no baby because of the effects of the wallrider.

Oh i swear to god if it is a prequel...

Thanks for the link Dev.

Though it wasn't without some frustration, I'm very glad to have played/completed this game.
Its not a prequel. The game takes place years after the events of the 1st game.

Go look up The Murkoff Account on redbarrels. its comics. It shows that this game takes place AFTER the first one.

And stop injecting the Walrider into this game, we have literally NO evidence connecting it to this story or the events of this story. We only know that Murkoff was messing with the people with whatever signal was coming from that tower and even that is coming from 4th wall knowledge WE as players have and not the character we play as in the game. No note ever mentions Murkoff, there is exactly ONE note that seems to come from a Murkoff scientist but other then that there is no mention of Project Walrider or any other experiments going on.

well it does connect. the trumpet sound/light you hear before school hallucinations is a microwave/hypnotize signal thing im pretty sure. it keeps going off which messes you up more and more and it brings on hallucinations(demons etc) but there is alot unexplained haha. i doubt the apocalypse happened at end btw, hallucination or something i bet.
A thing to keep in mind. The pulses seem to make people relive past traumas or events in their lives. For Blake, it was what happened with Jessica. But something I noticed was that when that second pulse happens and the other cultists around you are messed up by it, one of them is yelling out "Daddy, theres a fire, dad! theres a fire help!"

So it seems that everyone is all living out a past trauma or event in their lives that ment a great deal to them. just something I noticed.

Incorrect, this is a sequal but the wallrider does take a effect, in outlast whistle blower we witness the wallrider escape the asylym.

Also when the machine in outlast 1 and whistle blower (the one used to make the wallrider) all women had to leave because they had some sort of Phatom pregnancy. This is why you see no women in the women ward.

Although the wallrider wants women, so he can take a physical form in the child, that is why the man in outlast whistle blower tried to change the gender of men to women.

Now this relates to outlast 2 because lynn expernces a phantom pregancy, and she quotes 'nothing is there' and 'this is not right'. The heretics may want the pregancy because they think of the wallrider as some sort of prophet, just like the preist you encounter in outlast 1 talks about the wallrider and people in outlast 1 say qoute 'its the wallrider!'

so the townsfolk in outlast 2 try to stop the preganancy because the wallrider is f**king OP motha f**ker and the wallrider will end everything.

Although this only explains that the child is a illusion because of the white flashes that make hallucinate people, this explains the heretics and the christains and explains how the wallrider is involed with this.

Even check it out your self the evidence https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10360991/1/Darling

also sorry for spelling

also this may not be the wallrider taking physical form, or maybe it is. and the child may not of been a illusion because the wallrider can only been seen when...

well you know how in the outlast whistle blower when you are strapped at a chair and forced to watch images near the start of the game, only people who have seen those images can like, see the wallrider. Outlast 1 and Outlast whistle blower, the potaganist saw those images.

In Outlast 2, the potaganist didn't, soooooooo IDK if that means anything. But it might
